Blogging properly with the right keywords, headers & content gets you automatically noticed in a general way on the web and only delivers content to those searching for you. Example... If you a punk band from Austin and you are playing a show at a bar called the Captain Howdy, here is what u wold blog....

Tuesday, April 7th 2008 @ THE DILLY DALLY:  The Jerimias are doing a show at the Dilly Dally bar in Austin, Texas. A 3 set show from the Jerimias, is a good enough reason to bring your horse down to the Dilly Dally bar at 8pm this Tuesday. They will be playing their new hit single "If you can't live without me, how come u ain't dead". For those who like a the new genre Cow Punk (A cross between Country/Rock & early punk). This is the band for you!

Look at the bolded words, those words if typed in a search in a variety of combinations, would produce your blog as a result. If someone typed Cow Punk bands in Texas, they may get your blog, if someone typed Dilly Dally Tuesday show, they may get your blog.

You should pick about 8 keywords and try to repeat some of them without sounding ridiculously redundant. Keep blogging with your main keywords & you will start to see quality traffic & results to your band sites in not time...
